Ian Lynch is a founder member of Irish trad quartet Lankum, winners of the 2024 Choice Music Prize and RTÉ Folk Music Award for Best Album for their Mercury Prize nominated third LP False Lankum. Ian also records and performs as One Leg One Eye, and hosts the popular podcast Fire Draw Near.
Paul Duane’s Irish folk horror film All You Need Is Death marks Ian Lynch’s remarkable debut as a feature film composer, drawing on his expertise as a versatile musical powerhouse and a musicologist of note. For this special workshop, Ian will be joined by filmmaker Paul Duane to discuss the creation of his score for All You Need Is Death, and the challenges of composing for film.
