Artist, animator, and educator John D Ruddy, aka Manny Man, will once again help a group of young people of ethnic minorities (age 12-18) explore and connect with stories from their cultures. Together with their community, they will each create an animated short film, using the voices of these young people to tell their own stories and premiere as part of the festival.
This past spring, John brought previous years’ Fadó Fadó shorts to schools across Donegal and conducted ‘walking debate’ interactive workshops exploring themes of identity, race and immigration.
Manny Man is the creation of John D Ruddy, an actor, writer, YouTuber and theatre-maker. He has been creating history videos since 2013 and has since garnered over 243K subscribers and over 30 million views.
