Hailed as the last great blues singer of Mali’s older generation, Boubacar Traoré has been
celebrated as one of Africa’s greatest guitarists.
Touring internationally since the 1960’s has led to collaborations with Cedric Watson, Corey Harris and Leyla McCalla and a deep connection to the current roots and politically committed songwriter scene in America.
This rare and intimate Irish show will be an opportunity to catch the legendary blues man from western Mali accompanied by the young calabash player Jeremie Diarraand and long-time companion, French blues harmonica player Vincent Bucher.
