We would like to share an important update regarding our forthcoming concert. We are very sorry to let our audience know that, due to a recent and rapid decline in his health, Martin Carthy will sadly be unable to appear at this performance as originally planned.
We are pleased to confirm that Eliza Carthy will still be performing at the RCC concert and will honour her father’s extraordinary musical legacy through her appearance. Eliza is also currently working on plans for special guest artists who have played important roles in Martin’s life and career, and we hope to be able to share further details soon.
We know this news will be disappointing for many, and we appreciate your understanding and compassion at this difficult time. We very much look forward to welcoming Eliza and sharing an evening that celebrates Martin’s lasting influence on folk music.
