‘Still, We Work’, Legacy Project

May 12th – May 23rd

‘Still, We Work’, Legacy Project comprises four commissions from leading Irish artists initiated by the National Women’s Council of Ireland. Artists were directly invited to respond to a brief about representations of women and work and labour in the 20th Century. The initial research began in 2012 and artists were selected at the end of that year in the context of the centenary of the 1913 Dublin Lockout. The project curator is Valerie Connor and legacy project funding was awarded by Atlantic Philanthropies. Artists: Sarah Browne, Miriam O’Connor, Anne Tallentire and Vagabond Reviews (Ailbhe Murphy and Ciaran Smyth). Designers: Fiona McDonald, architect and Oonagh Young, HQ Design. The ‘Still, We Work’ exhibition tour is supported by an Arts Council Touring Award.
Official Opening Friday 8th May at 5pm, everyone welcome.
