Monday August 11, 2025
Open Call Community Exhibition (Jan–Feb 2026) Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny – Community Foyer Gallery Deadline Friday 29th August, 5pm (Video) (2)

Deadline: Friday 29th August 2025 at 5pm

The Regional Cultural Centre (RCC) in Letterkenny invites electronic musicians, composers, alternative producers, and creative sound designers to apply for residencies in our Sound Studio in 2026.

The RCC Sound Studio is not a traditional recording studio – it’s a flexible, exploratory space designed to support experimental and boundary-pushing sonic practice. It features an iMac Pro, audio interface, and an extensive range of acoustic and electronic instruments, including:

•              Moog One 16
•              Arturia PolyBrute
•              Dave Smith Prophet Module
•              Behringer Odyssey
•              SOMA Pulsar-23
•              NORD Stage 3
•              Baby grand piano
•              Many more weird and wonderful noise-makers

Residencies are non-public and non-output focused – artists can use the space to start new projects, finish old ones, or simply experiment and play. The minimum studio time is 5 days, with additional flexible access during RCC opening hours and when the studio is not in use by others. The Studio will be available from 9.30am – 5.00pm on Monday – Friday, 1.00pm – 5.00pm on Saturdays and select evenings when public events are taking place.

Successful applicants will also receive an artist fee of €500–€1,000, awarded by a panel. While applications are open to artists anywhere, travel and accommodation costs are not covered.
