Saturday March 1
Moville born pianist, Nadene Fiorentini, has recently been announced as the National Concert Hall’s ‘Rising Star’ recitalist for 2014. This award, given annually to promising young Irish musicians, gives them a platform to perform and allows audiences and fellow musicians to recognise and applaud publicly the wealth of talent that exists in Ireland. Prior to her debut solo recital on the main stage of the National Concert Hall on 20th March, we are delighted that Nadene will perform in the Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny on Saturday March 1st at 7pm. Nadene is in increasing demand as both a soloist and accompanist following her success at the Dublin International Piano Competition in 2012 where she was awarded the highest placed Irish competitor and claimed the Brennan Prize and also the Mc Cullough Bursary, which will assist in the production of a CD recording. For her Letterkenny debut recital, Nadene will perform Haydn’s Sonata in B minor, Brahms’ 6 Klavierstucke Op. 118 and Chopin’s piano sonata No. 3 in B minor, Op. 58.
