The āHere and Nowā programme is a series of online creative workshops coordinated by the Regional Cultural Centre which invite Donegal based participants to engage in art journaling as a way of documenting their experience of life in Ireland at this time.
The project is funded by Keep Well – Community Resilience Campaign and aims toĀ enable participants who have been particularly impacted by the effects of COVID-19 to engage with their wider community online in a meaningful way.Ā
The programme will be facilitated by artist and educator Anna West who will provide weekly creative prompts, demonstrations and a platform for discussion and sharing. Participants will use this as an opportunity to write, create and reflect in their art journals as well as creating individual artworks which will be exhibited in the Regional Cultural Centre at the end of the project.
The project is free and available to anyone aged 60+. If you would like to engage in a creative activity, but arenāt sure where to start, this workshop series is exactly what you have been looking for!
Participants will be provided with all the necessary materials required to successfully engage with the project, including any assistance they may need around using technology and accessing online platforms.Ā
The online workshop series will commence in February.
Numbers are limited so please contactĀ Ā jeremy@regionalculturalcentre.comĀ if you have any queries or if you would like to reserve a place.
The RCC is kindly supported by Donegal County Council and the Arts Council of Ireland.Ā
