Embark on a visual journey through the captivating landscapes of Donegal, as interpreted through the eyes of a local artist deeply rooted in the region. Through a series of oil paintings, this exhibition showcases iconic landmarks, hidden gems, and cherished moments that define the essence of Donegal.

Jacinta Callaghan is an artist from Donegal, whose passion lies in capturing the beauty and spirit of this remarkable region through her artwork.

The driving force behind her work is the desire to evoke fond memories and emotional connections to this place, whether for those who have left Donegal but cherish memories of home, or for those lucky enough to call this place their current residence. Each brushstroke is infused with the essence of the landscape, preserving moments of serenity, joy, and nostalgia.

Jacinta’s key themes revolve around the significance of place in shaping personal narratives and experiences. Whether it’s the rugged cliffs of Slieve League, the tranquil shores of Glenveagh National Park, or the quaint charm of Donegal town, each scene tells a story of love, adventure, and belonging.

Having grown up in Donegal, these landscapes are not merely subjects for her art but integral parts of her own memories and experiences. This personal connection infuses her work with authenticity and depth, inviting viewers to connect on a visceral level.
