Join artist Barbara Knežević in a speculative writing workshop aimed at expanding how we think about matter, ecology, and temporality within artistic practice. Through a series of writing exercises, participants will explore how creative writing can give voice, perspective, and agency to inanimate or non-human entities like stones, rivers, metals, sediments and currents. The outcome of the workshop will be a collection of short, speculative texts giving voice to local points in the Donegal environment, gathering together its material histories. Participants will gain an insight into writing as an extension of sculptural or material practice; attentive, empathetic, and non-anthropocentric.
