A joint headline concert featuring two exceptional traditional music ensembles on one stage.
Fiddle player Theresa Kavanagh – a member of the acclaimed SíFiddlers collective – brings her distinctive Donegal style, rich musicality and expressive voice to this unique trio. She is joined by renowned guitarist, producer and arranger Manus Lunny, whose work with Capercaillie and many leading artists has shaped contemporary folk music, and Adam Shapiro, the Cape Town-born fiddler now long rooted in Doolin, widely admired for his lyrical playing and collaborations from Cape to Clare to projects with Los Paddys and Luka Bloom.
Sharing the bill is CUAS, a vibrant Kerry ensemble featuring Méabh Ní Bheaglaoich (accordion, vocals), Nicole Ní Dhubhshláine (concertina, flute), Niamh Varian-Barry (fiddle, viola, vocals), and Kyle Macaulay (guitar, bouzouki). Formed in 2023, CUAS draws deeply from the music of Corca Dhuibhne, placing the connection between performer and listener at the centre of their work. Their live debut album, recorded in Seanscoil an Chuas, earned nominations for Best Emerging Artist and Best Folk Group at the 2025 RTÉ Folk Awards.
With invigorating Kerry polkas and slides, original compositions, Donegal fiddle tradition and wide-ranging musical influences, this joint headline show brings together some of the most exciting performers in Irish traditional music today.
