Join Donegal trio The Henry Girls at the Regional Cultural Centre during Letterkenny Trad Week for a family-friendly concert celebrating their new children’s album, Tracks in the Snow.
Tracks in the Snow is a collection of songs inspired by winter and childhood – thoughtful, melodic, and full of character. It’s music that speaks to children and adults alike, with songs that are both playful and beautifully arranged. This concert brings together the group’s trademark harmonies and fine musicianship and invites all ages to rediscover the joy and imagination of the season.
The Henry Girls, sisters Karen, Lorna, and Joleen McLaughlin, are from County Donegal. Their music blends the traditional sounds of their home with influences from folk and Americana. Known for their strong harmonies and honest, well-crafted songs, they’ve earned a reputation for engaging live performances, which The Irish Times who simply described the experience as ʻa joy’.
They’ve toured widely and collaborated with artists including Mary Black, Imelda May, Clannad, Sharon Shannon, The Hothouse Flowers, Dónal Lunny, Altan, and Dervish. They were also nominated for an IFTA Award for Best Original Score for the children’s film A Shine of Rainbows.
This concert offers a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon of live music for all ages.
