Enjoy some of the greatest screen melodies of all time with the Donegal Chamber Orchestra and guests as an international cast with more than 70 performers on stage present an unforgettable evening of movie music.

The DONEGAL CHAMBER ORCHESTRA, led by Hungarian violinist Orsolya Szabó-Yélamo and conducted by Spanish musician Víctor Yélamo, is back at An Grianán Theatre for the opening concert of the Sound! Soundtrack Film Festival 2025.

Music from iconic movies like The Mission, Doctor Zhivago, Harry Potter, James Bond, Psycho, The Godfather, Cinema Paradiso and The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, among others favourite screen melodies of all times.

The Donegal Chamber Orchestra will be joined by guest artists such as Italian soprano Rita Demaria, Irish top pianist Evan McGarrigle, percussionist Seamus Devenny, Shindig House Band, Donagh Choir (Helen Haughey, music director) and The Conwal Singers (Karen Patton, music director).

Sound! is presented by Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny in association with An Grianán Theatre.

Call into An Grianán Theatre Box Office during opening hours: Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Closed Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

There is a €1 booking fee per ticket. These booking fees are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for credit.

We offer concessionary rate to students, over 65s, under 18s, unemployed and registered disabled. Current ID is essential to avail of these concessions. Concessions may not be available for some shows.

E Tickets

We are now using electronic tickets. When you book you will be emailed a link to an electronic ticket. This can be presented on your phone for scanning on arrival at the venue. Alternately you can choose to download and print your ticket at home. Just be sure to have the QR code clearly visible for scanning

 

 

Terms & Conditions

  1. Latecomers may only be admitted until a suitable break in the performance at the discretion of management.
  2. Management reserves the right to refuse admission.
  3. Use of flash photography and recording equipment is not permitted. 
  4. Management reserves the right to make essential changes to the cast or programme without prior notice.
  5. Management reserves the right to cancel any performance without prior notice. In this event tickets may be exchanged or refunded to the face value only from the original point of sale.
  6. Ticket holders enter the venue at their own risk and assume all responsibility for their property.
  7. Food may not be consumed in the auditorium.
  8. For safety reasons, buggies or carrycots are not permitted in the auditorium..

Parking

We strongly advise allowing ample time to find a parking space and to be mindful that traffic can be extremely heavy in Letterkenny particularly on Thursday and Friday evenings and weekends.

Our car park is located to the rear of An Grianán Theatre and has room for approximately 70 cars. It is free of charge.

After 6pm there is no parking fee for using the main street.

Accessibility

The Regional Cultural Centre is dedicated to being accessible to all members of the community. We very much welcome bookings from people with disabilities, both from individuals and groups. Please let us know about your requirements at the time of booking.
