MIGRANTES is a musical exploration of transformation, displacement and belonging, brought to life through the distinctive collaboration between oud player Mauro Sigura and pianist Andrea Manzoni. Blending the haunting resonance of the oud with the harmonic richness of the piano, the duo creates a sound world that is both intimate and expansive.
At the heart of the project is the idea that migration extends far beyond geography. Rather than focusing solely on physical borders, Migrantes reflects on the emotional and psychological shifts that shape human experience — moments of longing, transition, resilience and renewal.
The performance unfolds as a continuous musical narrative inspired by three emotional states: dreaming, believing and moving forward. Improvisation sits alongside carefully crafted compositions, allowing jazz language to intersect with Mediterranean lyricism, Middle Eastern traditions, classical sensibilities and contemporary global influences. The result is music that feels cinematic, atmospheric and deeply personal.
Since its debut in 2024, MIGRANTES has been presented to audiences across Europe, South America, Asia, Africa and the United Kingdom, receiving warm critical acclaim for both its originality and emotional power. International touring continues throughout 2026, further expanding the reach of a project that speaks to shared human experience across cultures.
