Hugo Guezbar Trio with Giacomo Smith

At just 24, French guitarist Hugo Guezbar has already established himself as one of the brightest new talents in gypsy jazz. From opening the Django Reinhardt Festival in 2018 to performing at Paris’s Salle Pleyel in 2021 with the Django Legacy combo, he has shared the stage with leading figures of the genre including Angelo Debarre, Adrien Moignard, Florin Niculescu, and Noé Reinhardt.
For this concert, Guezbar joins forces with acclaimed French jazz musicians Mathieu Chatelain (rhythm guitar) and Esteban Felix (double bass). Together, the trio moves seamlessly from Django Reinhardt standards to Wes Montgomery tunes, creating a sound that is both versatile and deeply original.
They will be joined by special guest Giacomo Smith (clarinet), one of the UK’s finest jazz musicians. Expect an evening of dazzling virtuosity, flawless musicality, and irresistible swing.
