Learn the essential, practial elements needed to make a professional short film. From working with actors, to camera choice, to what exactly a director does and beyond. The workshop will clearly explain how to prepare, shoot, edit and release a film. The event will include a free screeing of Gerard’s latest short film Waiting for Magic Hour (2024) on the big screen as well as a demonstration with experienced actors to show how a scene is staged and professionally recorded.
Gerard Lough is a film director from Donegal who’s credits include the feature films Spears (2022) and Night People (2015) as well as eight short films and thirteen music videos.
