Amjad Ali Khan descends from the family lineage of the founders of the Kirana Gharana (a house of Music in the Hindustani-North Indian music tradition).
Khan has performed in many prestigious music festivals and concert and an empanelled artist in ICCR. He has performed world over in places like China, Switzerland, Germany, Europe and Australia.
Amjad Ali Khan will be accompanied on the Tabla (Indian percussion instrument) by Wexford based Rupak Pandit. Rupak is a trained musician of the instrument, spending several years under the tutelage of Pandit Chotelal Mishra, a revered percussionist of the Banares Gharana. Rupak has performed extensively in Ireland, Netherlands and rest of Europe.
