Notions Presents: Twang Peaks – Errigal (Live)

A Regional Cultural Centre collaboration by Shammen Delly & Peadar Coll

Supported by Arts Council Ireland

Notions is delighted to present a new premiere of works, created in collaboration by two Donegal artists at the Regional Cultural Centre, online on Friday, 12th November.

Twang Peaks – Errigal is the result of an RCC residency, with the support of Arts Council Ireland, by Aengus Friel, aka Shammen Delly, and Peadar Coll.

The two artists created a 30-minute audience visual experience which was performed live before a limited audience in October to premiere online this month.

Notions is a series created by the RCC to promote electronica, alternative rock, hip-hop, jazz and everything in-between from County Donegal.

Aengus Friel is an electronic ambient music producer from Inishowen who releases music under the moniker of Shammen Delly.

Peadar Coll is a much-respected Donegal multi-instrumentalist and session musician who has worked artists such as Jonathan Smeaton, indie bands Aul Boy, Lunch Machine and more.

With the support of Arts Council Ireland, the two artists were invited to join forces for a residency at the Regional Cultural Centre.

An experimental documentary on Errigal Mountain from the 1970s provided the backdrop for the new music created by two artists premiering on 12th November.

Find out more about the project, ahead of its premiere, by reading the artists’ recent interview with the RCC team HERE.
