Alarnagh Barrett Mc Ginley
Alarnagh Barrett Mc Ginley lives in Ardara, Co. Donegal. She studied history and German in N.U.I. Maynooth and has combined this background with her lifelong interest in art. She has had two solo exhibitions and her work has been exhibited in the Glebe and R.U.A. open exhibitions. Alarnagh has led a number of community art projects for children and young people and most recently was the history project coordinator for the Echoes of the Decade Project. As a visual artist Alarnagh uses a wide range of art mediums, including painting, illustration and textiles.

Alarnagh will be a RCC Virtual Artist-in-Residence for May 2020 and will deliver a children’s art project called Green Spaces. Children will be encouraged to get outside and make art that is inspired by the world around them. Children will participate in six art challenges that will be posted on Facebook. An outdoor exhibition of children’s digital and physical work is planned at the end of the project.
