January 15 – April 25
Unknown Bown was comprised of largely unseen pictures by legendary Observer photographer Jane Bown. Jane started her career at The Observer in 1949 and this exhibition featured her non-portrait images from the 1940s, 50s and 60s, offering a unique perspective on social history. A book with an introduction by Germaine Grier accompanied the exhibition. ‘Unknown Bown’ was presented in association with Guardian / Observer Newspapers.
