Featuring Mercury Prize nominated English folk singer Sam Lee, Irish Traditional Music Archive TMA director Grace Toland, Altan’s Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh and chaired by Ben Mandelson, founding director of WOMEX (the world’s biggest professional music conference, tradefair and showcase for World, Roots, Folk and Traditional music), this special panel discussion will explore current and recent trends in folk song in Ireland and the UK.
