John Soffe offers an insight into the first five years of Letterkenny Trad Week.

 

Over the past five years John Soffe has documented Letterkenny Trad Week and in our sixth year, we are delighted to host an exhibition of these photos during and after the event.

John is a Donegal-based photographer originally from Dublin. He has exhibited extensively throughout Donegal and was a featured artist during Earagail Arts Festival in 2012 and 2014. His work has been published by the New York Times, RTE, BBC, The Irish Times and Time Out New York.

Artists featured in this foyer exhibition include Andy Irvine, Dónal Lunny, Maura O’Connell, Karen Casey, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Caitlín Nic Gabhann, Ciarán Ó Maonaigh, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Nia Byrne, The Rheingans Sisters, Lankum, Martin Carthy, Eliza Carthy, Billy Bragg, Joe Henry, Coirm, The String Sisters, Lau and Sharon Shannon.

Refreshments

Refreshments will be on offer before concerts and during intervals at the RCC for the duration of Letterkenny Trad Week, thanks to The Eatery at An Grianán Theatre.
