Inishowen Gospel Choir & The Stut Choir
The result of an ongoing international exchnage programme, Donegal’s prolific Inishowen Gospel Choir are joined by Utrecht’s Stut Choir in a collaborative project to share songs and tradition through a universal musical language. The Inishowen Gospel Choir was founded in 2005. Managed by Yvonne McFadden and musically directed by Dr Neil Burns and Anna Nolan, the 30-member choir, based in Carndonagh, Co. Donegal, has performed at festivals throughout Ireland for a number of years and has a growing international profile, having performed at Glastonbury for 3 consecutive years.
Stut Theatre (Utrecht, The Netherlands) is a professional community-based theatre company. With its specialised qualifications and skills in theatre making, Stut facilitates the production of stage plays for, with and by people with unheard stories. They created the The Stut Choir in 2010 to provide a platform for participants to tell their own stories through music and song.
